PUTRAJAYA, Fri. - Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had a good word for

the media today but advised it against sensationalising news.
The Prime Minister told the media industry not to hype up headlines

when the gravity of the event did not warrant it.

Speaking to the media after opening the Mass Media Conference 2005

organised by the Internal Security Affairs Ministry, he thanked

journalists for revealing problems in the Government.

"Even if it makes us look a bit bad, we should thank the media for

exposing things.

"As long as the media does this with sincerity and without malice, we

can tolerate it ...
