"Non-Malays and non-Muslims should not fear the fiery speeches at UMNO general assembly"

Do Not Fear Fiery Speech

Non-Malays and non-Muslims should not fear the fiery speeches at the recent UMNO general assembly, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said last night.

What does he mean?

"Instead of getting alarmed, there are lessons to be learnt from the whole episode. It means all of us have to be careful in dealing with issues concerning race and religion," Pak Lah said.

What do you mean sir?

Can I presumed that you are saying: "We won't do what we say; it's only rhetorics and to play to the gallery. At the same time, we want to you to be vary of what we will do when we run AMOK."

Or, could I assumed that you mean: "We are Cakap, Tapi Bikin Tak Boleh Serupa?"

But Pak Lah, it was damn scary! Youth information chief Datuk Azimi Daim said: "Umno Youth must be more effective, creative and proactive in defending such rights and privileges, as these are issues that make members jump. When certain issues come up, it is natural for the warrior blood in the veins of the Malays to become heated."

Razali Idris (Terengganu) said: "The Malay's economic growth is only about 2%, while the non-bumiputra's is at 6%. This wide disparity will create unrest and an incident like May 13 might repeat but this time, the parang will not fly. An ants' nest should not be disturbed."

Mohd Effendi Yusof (Kelantan) said: "Don't play with fire...we (Malays) will fight till the end."

Hasnoor Sidang Hussein, (Malacca) said: "Umno is willing to risk lives and bathe in blood in defence of race and religion. Don't play with fire. If they mess with our rights, we will mess with theirs."

Tan Sri Mohamad Rahmat said: "Don't test the Malays, they know 'amok'".

Hashim Suboh said: “Datuk Hisham has unsheathed his keris, waved his keris, kiss his keris. We want to ask Datuk Hisham when he is going to use it.”

Use the keris? I don't think he meant to use it to cut wood because it's better to use the axe. I don't think the keris is used to slaughter the fishes to make dinner. I remembered Hang Tuah use it on Hang Jebat - he stabbed and killed him. Isn't it frightening to know that the keris is used to kill someone.

"UMNO must speak for all races"

But that's not what Malaysian Prime Minister said when interviewed on CNN's Talk Asia.

"This country that we love belongs to all of us ...

Was there a catch, or was it that UMNO MPs do not agree with him?

Was the PM in Control as claimed by him?

I don't think so. Most of the MPs do not share his ideology and political philosophy. You can see and hear them with clarity.

Maybe, the Prime Minister did not make it clear enough at the winding up speech at the recent concluded UMNO General Assembly.

"I Won't Run and I'm Here To Stay...For Long"

"I Won't Run and I'm Here To Stay...For Long"

If you think the predecessor is dictatorial, wait till you hear this:

"Saya takkan lari. I am here to stay... Saya ada pelan jangka panjang."

Read more about the above quote and the exclusive interview with Utusan Malaysia here.

Pardon my ignorance, but can someone brief me what is the f**king great deal about RM9, btw? There have been 8 RMs for eons but I don't see someone bragging about it all the time.

SJER

From Careful with money to Mega Billion projects everywhere

What made a sovereign to reverberate to take such radical and drastic steps, from a frugal leader, scrapping almost all mega projects inherited from his predecessors, and over the last few months, pronouncing the arrival of mega after mega projects.

Did he suffer such anorexia?

When he took over the helm on 1st Nov 2003, the first few months of his tenure, he was going through almost all the mega projects awarded by Mahathir, and scrapping one by one of them.

There was in fact much hue and cry then.

He claimed that he was just being careful and isn't tight with money.

He said: Only vital projects will be implemented.

The first project to suffer was the double-track railway project awarded to MMC-Gamuda. Then, the mega storm water drain from Pandan to Taman Desa (which was allowed to continue).

Many other projects suffered the same fate such as the monorail project in Putrajaya, Penang 2nd Bridge, and later, the Crooked-bridge in Johor.

The vital projects proclaimed will be agricultural projects, batik projects, and Scomi's projects.

Then suddenly, accidentally or incidentally, since the altercation with Mahathir Mohamad, all of a sudden, he was inspired... Unresisting proclaimations of projects were made; everywhere we hear of mega projects that will be launched... not yet, but, will be, soon, might be soon, will be soon.

Today, The Star report that MB: SJER likely to attract RM60bil FDI within 10 years

Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman announced that the South Johor Economic Region (SJER) development plan is likely to attract RM60bil in foreign direct investments (FDI) within the next 10 years.

For a start, Ghani said a group of investors from the Middle East would be bringing in multi-billion ringgit investments to Johor.

He declined to give details on the investments from the Arab businessmen as Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi would make the announcement.

If you remembered, ten years ago, Ghani announced that Johor will have a Disneyland project, Floating city, Sahara Desert, Dinosaur park, etc; all billion dollar projects. Till today, we hear something new; old proposals are cremated.

What makes Pak Lah changed so drastically? From Frugality to Excessiveness.

Pak Lah hates mega projects, but over the last few months, he had pronounced more than 10 mega projects...arriving soon. Cheer up contractors and employees... tomorrow will be better; hopefully!

Is he suffering from Bulimia, anorexia, or aphasia? Or, CTSB?
